Strategic Ground Applications or SGA is a clamp on system that is a benefit to many martial art schools, programs or individuals. SGA is a core set of ground techniques that is designed to help the already competent martial artist understand groundwork to best defend themselves on the ground or bring the conflict back to standing.
Ju-Jitsu is a martial art which reflects the movements of the attacker back upon him or her. It has been practiced in Japan since the 16th century. Ju-Jitsu uses a series of joint locks, small weaponry, and defensive tactics in combination with conserved energy to neutralize an attacker.
Our Self-Defense program is a no nonsense approach to defend ones self. The program is specifically designed with input from the individual or group to best meet their needs. This input would include environmental conditions, size, stature and overall goals. Our solutions to dangerous situations use a method escalating force. In other words, we try to do only that which is necessary but have multiple options based on the level of risk the defender is placed in.
Our Kempo Karate program is a system that has taken traditional techniques and philosophies into the modern era. The system is taught in a safe, fun manner focusing on areas of interest in todays world. Understanding that physical conflict encompasses many areas, this system focus’s on mainly two areas; Striking and Groundwork. Our goal is to promote areas of expertise as well as physical well being and balance.
Judo is best known for it's spectacular throwing techniques but also involves considerable grappling on the ground utilizing specialized pins, control holds, arm locks, and choking techniques. Judo is many things to different people. It is a fun sport, an art, a discipline, a recreational or social activity, a fitness program, a means of self-defense or combat, and a way of life. It is all of these and more.
